To those unfamiliar with Russell, he has over twenty years experience within the oil, gas and power generation industries, having started as an Engineer with BP he rapidly moved through the company structure to join the main board as Operations Director. As Operations Director he was also involved in the successful Stock Exchange listing of Pentex Oil, and was one of the original Directors that formed Sibir Energy Plc spending some 6 years in Russia helping to build the company into what is now a £2,049m business. After leaving Sibir he joined Atlantic Energy as Operations Director for a year, which he left to purchase Pentex Oil group of assets in 2002 with an equal partner. In 2005, after successful restructuring, Pentex Oil was sold to Star Energy leaving Russell free to pursue other projects. David Hunt (Ocean Navitas' Managing Director) said "Russell's appointment is a significant event for the company, his experience of the utilities industry and contacts will prove a major asset in the future". Other News ... Construction of a full scale 35kW Shore-Based demonstration device is underway and talks are being held will EMDA, WAG and others regarding suitable testing sites that are all moving forward with great results. The results from the demonstration device will prove the technology behind the Aegir Dynamo and provide the basis for sales of units around the world. Positive feedback has already been received from Alderney Renewable Energy and the private companies in the Caribbean to name but a few.
