ABB

ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve performance while lowering environmental impacts. ABB in the UK operates from more than 20 locations nationally and employs around 2200 people. Ocean Navitas Ltd have negotiated the supply of all neccessary power take-off equipment with ABB and are working closely with the company on all research aspects within this field.

REA

Ocean Navitas Ltd are members of The Renewable Energy Association which was established in 2001 to represent British renewable energy producers and promote the use of sustainable energy in the UK. The REA was previously known as 'The Renewable Power Association', the change of name took place in October 2005.

EMEC

EMEC was established to help the evolution of marine energy devices from the prototype stage into the commercial market place. They are at the forefront of the development of sea-based renewables – technologies that generate electricity for homes and businesses by harnessing the power of waves and tidal streams.

Based at Stromness in Orkney, EMEC has an international role to play in driving the advancement of tidal and wave technologies. Ocean Navitas intend to use their facilities to test a 1MwH demonstrator model.

South West RDA

Wave Hub is a groundbreaking renewable energy project in the South West of England that aims to create the UK's first offshore facility for the demonstration and proving of the operation of arrays of wave energy generation devices. Ocean Navitas intend to deploy an array of 5 1MwH Aegir Dynamos at the site.

Nottingham University

Nottingham Trent University has pioneered multi-disciplinary design and manufacturing activities over many years. The Centre focuses on research and consultancy activities in design and manufacturing technologies.

Supported by grants from a variety of funding organisations including EU, DTI, EPSRC, Royal Society and industry. ADMEC has a strong national and international reputation. They are actively involved with many national and international professional organisations including IEE, IMechE, BSI, IFToMM, IIA, CMES and JEA.

Ocean Navitas' Engineers are working with the department on the advanced finite element analysis and manufacture of the Aegir Dynamo.
